Continued weekend o' fun

On Saturday, we spent the day in historic Lanesboro, MN. We were hoping to go tubing or canoeing on the Root River but, because of the flooding, those options weren't available. They were allowing kayakers, but the river looked pretty rough! It's hard to tell from the picture, but my guess is that it was like whitewater rafting...in a kayak.

You can't see them, but there were sandbags piled along the side of this part of the river. Thank goodness there wasn't flooding into the street! This sure is pretty though.
